Was Jesus truly sinless?
The answer to this important question can only be found in the holy scriptures. Was Jesus truly sinless? The answer is yes he was and still sinless, he is immaculate in his two natures, his divine and human nature. When Adam transgressed against God, sin and it's dire consequences entered into the world: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12). The entire human race including you and I became sinners by nature. The bible says: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We were alienated from God by reason of sin, and nothing could propitiate God's wrath against us. No amount of good works could reconcile us to God. All the sacrifices offered under the law could not take away sin, because they were imperfect sacrifices: For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near. Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins? But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year. For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins (Hebrews 10; 4).
The only way we can be brought into eternal union with God is through a perfect mediator, one who can offer a perfect sacrifice for our sins. Jesus was holy and sinless in his two natures. Through the sacrifice of himself, he offered a perfect substitutionary sacrifice, a sacrifice that was well pleasing in the sight of God, and God accepted his sacrifice by resurrecting him from the dead: Paul, an apostle not sent from men nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead (Galatians 1; 1). On the Cross, God imputed all our sins into the body of Christ, he was made sin for us, he was treated as though he was a sinner, but in and of himself he was sinless. Paul wrote by the Spirit: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5: 21). Because Jesus was sinless, that was the reason why he could offer a perfect sacrifice which satisfied all the legal requirements of the law, and also satisfied God's justice and secured our eternal salvation. Brethren, it is important to know that Jesus was tempted as we are and yet remained sinless. He was devoid of a sinful nature, because he was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and not by the seed of the Man. Therefore, there was no sinful inclination in him to make him sin, though he was truly tempted. An army that cannot be defeated doesn't mean it cannot be attacked. Jesus suffered being tempted, and yet remained immaculate: And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin (1 John 3: 5).
If Jesus could have sinned when he was tempted whiles on earth, then he can still sin today even in his glorified state in heaven, why? Because he still retains the same nature when he dwelt among us. Jesus underwent intense temptations on every side and yet remained sinless: For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4: 15). Every temptation you experience as a Christian, Jesus Christ understands and he is able to sympathize with you and to succor you by his grace: For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted (Hebrews 2; 18). The sinlessness of Jesus Christ attest to the truth of his Deity, Why? Because only God is sinless. Aside Jesus, every single person in human history has fallen short of God's glory. Only God is sinless and Jesus was sinless and still sinless, and this is an indubitable prove that Jesus is not a mere Man as some assume, but God himself. Jesus Christ is sinless both in his divine and human nature, and this is an uncontested truth which cannot be denied as it is clearly revealed in the Holy scriptures. Jesus the only ''go-between'' God and Men is intrinsically holy in his two natures. The truth about the sinlessness of Christ gives us an assurance of our salvation. God bless you
